Hayden and Bryson Dedic are twin sophomores at North Star Academy who have earned over 40 college credits online through Coastline Community College. Both brothers will have earned associate degrees before graduating high school! Together, the two have taken some amazing classes which include but are not limited to: Freshman Composition, U.S. History, Liberal Arts Math, Environmental Science, Principles of Marketing, Career Planning, Walking for Health and Anatomy and Physiology! Both brothers said U.S. History was one of their favorite classes, with their professor being the main reason why they succeeded. Hayden said the professor was “phenomenal and down to earth,” in which Bryson agreed, “I love anything history, and the teacher was amazing!” Despite being twins and taking the same college classes, the two brothers do have a lot of differences. Hayden struggles sitting still and focusing, so he likes to be on the go and constantly in movement. Bryson is easygoing and said he enjoys spending time with hobbies like fishing or hunting. Hayden wants to obtain an associate degree in business. “When I graduate high school, I plan on going to trade school to learn more about the quine industry,” he said. Bryson has a similar goal, to no surprise, but said he may want to pursue a bachelor’s degree. He even started his own business last year, breaking and selling horses. Both said without Amador College Connect, this process wouldn’t have been as easy. “College Connect is a must for any high school student who wants a college education at the same time,” Bryson said. “They are very knowledgeable and are always there to help,” Hayden added. The twins urged others to stay organized and not procrastinate. “Find a study plan that works for you, ask for help when you need it, and take advantage of resources like College Connect,” Bryson said.
