Rockin’ Out For Higher Education
Amador College Connect (ACC) is hosting a benefit concert, "Rockin' Out At Kennedy Mine," on September 27 from 5–9 p.m. at Kennedy Mine in Jackson, featuring local bands Rocker Box and Tuesday in the Park, to raise funds for its free one-on-one higher education support services. Since 2013, ACC has helped over 1,140 Amador County residents of all ages—from high schoolers in dual-credit courses to parents and retirees—pursue college degrees and career goals, often as first-generation students. The nonprofit relies on grants and donor support, and proceeds from ticket sales will directly assist local students. Tickets are $25 for the concert only, $40 with dinner, and kids 10 and under are free.
